Gabor Nyeki is a visiting research scholar at Princeton University. He holds a simultaneous appointment as an assistant professor at the African School of Economics.

His work falls into political economy, development economics, American politics, and social networks. He studies unequal societies. In the US context, his work explores the political and economic effects of the Civil Rights Movement. In the context of less developed countries, he studies the role of social networks in Kenyan villages that receive large cash transfers, and the effects of formal education on Nigerian communities.

His research employs various empirical approaches, including quasi-experimental methods, large randomized controlled trials, and the analysis of historical data. He received his PhD in economics from Duke University. For more information, visit his website at http://www.gabornyeki.com/.
