Gabor Nyeki is a visiting research scholar at Princeton University. He holds a simultaneous appointment as an assistant professor at the African School of Economics.

His work falls into political economy, development economics, American politics, and social networks. He studies unequal societies. In the US context, his work explores the political and economic effects of the Civil Rights Movement. In the context of less developed countries, he studies the role of social networks in Kenyan villages that receive large cash transfers, and the effects of formal education on Nigerian communities.
