ASE Recruits New Dean

The African School of Economics is proud to announce the recruitment of Father Claude Domfang, who will start as the new Dean of the African School of Economics (ASE) in June. Father Domfang holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering by Marquette University (US), a B.S. and M.S. in the same discipline by the Polytechnic University of Yaoundé (Cameroon) and a M.T. in Social Ethics by the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley (US). He has over twenty years of teaching experience and has worked in several countries including Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, US, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is a member of the African Engineering Dean Council, the African Engineering Education Association, the American Society of Mechanical Engineer and the American Society of Engineering Education.

ASE takes this opportunity to thank Professor David Gbaguidi, who has been serving as Dean of the School since 2014, for his generous dedication. Prof. Gbaguidi will serve as Associate Dean for Planning and Placement.
