More than 100 new students will be arriving at the African School of Economics’ campus on Monday, October 15th, in order to participate in the opening ceremony for the new undergraduate program. These students come from various cities throughout Benin, such as Nattitingou, Parakou, Lokossa, Djougou, Bohicon and Porto-Novo.

These top students were formally assessed via tests on the 22nd of September, in order to gain admission into the university, and will start classes on Monday, October 22nd. The vast majority of the students will be enrolled in the Statistics & Computer Science program. However students will also enroll in Economics and Statistics, Finance & Accounting, and Marketing & Management. All of the programs are bilingual and students will be taking intensive English courses. Following this, they will take all their classes in English.

The undergraduate program will also offer students the opportunity to study abroad, thanks to a partnership with the University of Ottawa. The partnership allows students to complete two years at ASE, before finishing the final two years at the University of Ottawa. Students will also have many other opportunities to get involved in research, internship opportunities, conferences, and more.
