African School of Economics (ASE) and the State University of New York at Purchase are partners. They signed in March 2022, an agreement aimed at facilitating academic cooperation and educational exchanges between the two universities.

This partnership takes into account six specific areas of cooperation, according to the terms of the memorandum of understanding. Through this agreement, the African School of Economics (ASE) and the State University of New York based in Purchase undertake to exchange information, techniques and experiences in the fields of economics, and financial research. Also within the scope of this partnership are joint research activities, the development of training exchange programs and the implementation of mutual cultural programs.

As usual, the interest of the student community of the two partner universities occupies a prominent place in this partnership. ASE bachelor’s and master’s students therefore have the opportunity to take courses and engage in internships, learning services, and research at the State University of New York at Purchase.

For the implementation of this agreement, Chancerèle Olou in charge of international relations is the point of contact for the African School of Economics. As for the American side, it is the dean of global strategy and international programs, Anne Kern, who represents the State University of New York at Purchase. This agreement marks the beginning of a fruitful partnership that will have lasting impacts on each university and influence the surrounding communities.
